UNICROSS operates a clear indigene/non-indigene fee structure. Fresh students who are indigenes of Cross River State pay a consolidated fee of ₦83,380. Non-indigenes pay ₦98,380. This total incorporates tuition, a development levy (₦25,000 for indigenes, ₦40,000 for non-indigenes), Edu-Portal charges, and laboratory/faculty fees. Returning students pay a slightly reduced fee.

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), formerly known as Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), is a premier state-owned conventional university located in South-South Nigeria. Established in 2002 and renamed in 2021, the university operates a decentralized multi-campus model across Calabar, Obubra, Ogoja, and Okuku, offering a robust array of programs ranging from engineering and basic medical sciences to communication technology.
With its main administrative hub in the vibrant city of Calabar, UNICROSS offers a dynamic environment for learning. The multi-campus structure allows students to focus closely on their specific disciplines—such as agriculture in Obubra or management in Ogoja. The university utilizes a highly integrated 'eduportal' where students generate a unique Student Payment Code (SPC) to manage all their fees and registrations seamlessly.
💡 Pro Tip: To secure admission into UNICROSS, candidates must select the university as their first choice and score at least 150 in the UTME. The Post-UTME screening process is 100% online. You must ensure your scanned documents are at least 50kb in size and include a red or white background passport photo along with valid scratch card details. Do not forget to cross-check that your O'Level results are also successfully uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal.
Direct Entry candidates must apply through JAMB and possess a valid B.Sc, HND, ND, or NCE certificate with acceptable grades in relevant disciplines. They must also undergo the university's online screening by uploading their certificates alongside other required documents.
UNICROSS conducts a strictly online Post-UTME screening. Candidates MUST NOT travel to any campus for a physical exam. They must register via the portal, pay the ₦2,000 fee via Remita or ATM card, and upload clear scanned copies (minimum size of 50kb per document). Required documents include: a recent passport photograph (strictly with a red or white background), UTME result slip, O'Level result(s), WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Scratch Card for verification, Birth Certificate, and an optional Certificate of Origin.
