Direct Entry Rules
Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Merit in NCE, an ND/HND at Upper Credit level, or acceptable passes in JUPEB/A'Level in relevant subjects. They must satisfy the basic O'Level requirements and apply through the UNIBEN Kofa portal.
Post UTME Screening Format
UNIBEN conducts a physical Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Post-UTME. Final admission relies on a weighted aggregate formula: Aggregate = (JAMB Score ÷ 8) + (Post-UTME Score ÷ 2). Upon admission, the entire clearance process is conducted STRICTLY ONLINE via the Waeup Kofa portal (no physical campus visit required). Freshmen must upload specific credentials including a Red Background Passport photograph, O'Level Scratch Cards, a Guarantor's Letter, and sworn Affidavits for Good Conduct and Non-Membership of Secret Cults.

Log into the Kofa student portal, select your hall of interest under Accommodation, create a Bed Allocation ticket under Payments, and pay with a valid ATM card. Once allocated, you must book your specific space using the activation code from your payment slip and complete payment of the Hostel Maintenance fee within 48 hours, or the space is released back into circulation for other students.
300-Level students are frequently unable to secure hostel space, as this level typically coincides with Industrial Training (I.T.) or Teaching Practice (T.P.) placements off-campus.
Confirmed halls span both campuses. Ugbowo: Hall Four (Akanu Ibiam Hall), Hall Five Male, Hall Five Female, Clinical Students Hostel, Intercontinental Bank Postgraduate Hall, Erastus Akingbola Hall, Keystone Hall, NDDC Hall, and Danjuma Hostel. Ekehuan: Margaret Ekpo Hall (Female Undergraduate), Male Undergraduate Hall, and separate Male and Female Postgraduate Halls. Fees for most of these individual halls are not published; Danjuma is the only one with a confirmed figure.

Campus Survival
You cannot survive UNIBEN without understanding its geography. The university is split between the massive 'Ugbowo' Main Campus and the smaller 'Ekehuan' Campus (which houses creative courses like Theatre Arts and Fine Arts). If you are at Ugbowo and miss out on the highly competitive on-campus hostels, the undisputed off-campus student epicenters are 'BDPA', 'Ekosodin', and 'Osasogie'.
