Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) is a premier state-owned specialized university. Recently upgraded from the former Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), it remains a leader in technical and technological education in Nigeria. It operates three campuses with its main administrative seat in Ikorodu.

Campus life at LASUSTECH varies by location. Note that the university does not provide on-campus hostels; students rely on off-campus housing.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must choose LASUSTECH as their first choice institution and score a minimum of 180 in the UTME. Applicants must possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes in not more than two sittings. WAEC and NECO are accepted, but NABTEB is strictly not allowed. Awaiting results are accepted provided they are uploaded before the admission window closes.

Direct Entry Rules

Direct Entry candidates must choose LASUSTECH as their first choice. Applicants must have a minimum of an Upper Credit (3.00 CGPA); Lower Credit and Pass grades are strictly rejected. Only WAEC or NECO O'Level results are allowed. Eligible DE candidates must forward their JAMB registration slip to sove@lasustech.edu.ng to participate in the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE).

Post UTME Screening Format

LASUSTECH conducts a strictly online Post-UTME screening; there is no physical entrance examination. Candidates of Lagos State origin must also undergo the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE).

Does LASUSTECH have hostel facilities for students?
No, LASUSTECH does not currently have hostel facilities on campus. Students are expected to rent private accommodation nearby.
Can I apply for Direct Entry with NABTEB or a Lower Credit?
