Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU), formerly known as Eastern Palm University, is a state-owned tertiary institution located in Ogboko, Ideato South LGA, Imo State. Originally established in 2016 as a public-private partnership, it was fully reclaimed by the Imo State Government and renamed in 2021 in honor of the legendary Nigerian nationalist, Dr. K.O. Mbadiwe. Fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), KOMU offers a rapidly expanding array of academic programmes across Sciences, Computing, Allied Health, Medicine, Law, Social Sciences, and the Arts, striving to provide uninterrupted, high-quality education.
