Kaduna State University (KASU) was established in 2004 to bridge the higher education gap in the region. Operating across multiple dynamic campuses including Kaduna, Kafanchan, and Makarfi, KASU has rapidly evolved into a center of academic excellence. Beyond its undergraduate collegiate structure, KASU is highly research-driven, hosting specialized hubs like the Center for Ginger Research and the Centre for Mosquito-Borne Diseases.
Campus life at KASU is vibrant and highly digitized. The university has eliminated physical clearance stress; students manage their entire lifecycle—from O'Level verification tokens to course registration—remotely via the SAFRecords portal. Students enjoy upgraded modern facilities, active Student Union Government (SUG) participation, and a structured campus environment.
💡 Pro Tip: Securing admission into KASU requires tactical planning. You must make KASU your first choice. Understand the tiered cut-off system: while 170 qualifies you for Arts and Agriculture, you need 200 for Computing/Engineering, and a massive 220 for Medicine & Surgery. Ensure your email address and phone number are active, as KASU exclusively sends your Conditional Offer and acceptance fee payment links directly to your inbox after your online O'Level verification.
Direct Entry candidates must choose KASU as their first choice. IJMB candidates require a minimum of 7 points for most courses, 12 points for Allied Health/Pharmacy, and 13 points for Medicine & Surgery. Candidates with an NCE or National Diploma must possess a minimum of 10 points (Lower Credit) in relevant fields.
KASU conducts a strictly online Post-UTME screening and a 100% remote post-admission registration process. Candidates apply via the SAFApply portal. Once admitted on JAMB CAPS, candidates must purchase a Verification Token online to verify their O'Level results. Upon successful verification, KASU issues a 'Conditional Offer' via email containing the link to pay the acceptance fee.
