Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology (SACOETEC)—historically known as Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE)—is a premier state-owned tertiary institution in Ogun State. Recently renamed to honor the Awujale of Ijebuland, SACOETEC is a powerhouse for pedagogical training, offering a massive array of over 60 dual-major NCE programs and prestigious NUC-approved Bachelor's Degrees in affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).
Situated in the tranquil and culturally rich town of Omu-Ijebu, the campus provides a highly focused academic atmosphere devoid of city distractions. The college features modern science laboratories, comprehensive vocational workshops, a digitized library, and subsidized on-campus hostels. Students experience a blend of rich Ijebu culture and progressive technological learning under the new 'Science and Technology' mandate.
💡 Pro Tip: Admission to SACOETEC (formerly TASCE) is highly accessible, offering pathways for almost every academic situation. For Full-Time NCE, a JAMB score of 100 guarantees you a spot with 5 O'Level credits. If you have a JAMB score of 100 but lack full credits, apply for the 'NCE Foundation Programme'. If you missed JAMB entirely, you can enroll via the 'Four-Contact Sessions Programme'. For the OOU-affiliated Bachelor's Degrees, aim for a JAMB score of 160. Application requires a ₦5,000 fee payable online via the college portal.
Direct Entry (DE) candidates applying for affiliated Degree programs must possess a minimum of a Merit grade in their NCE or a recognized National Diploma (ND) alongside their basic O'Level requirements.
The college employs a digital admission process. Candidates activate an account on the admission portal, pay a ₦5,000 application fee online, fill out the application form, upload scanned documents, and print a Screening Slip for physical verification.
