Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin-Ladi (PLAPOLY) is a state-owned institution established in 1977 under the motto 'Technology For Development'. Regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the institution offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across seven schools, spanning Engineering, Environmental Studies, Information and Communication Technology, and Vocational and Technical Education, among others.
PLAPOLY operates a dual-campus structure the Main Campus in the semi-rural town of Barkin Ladi, and a second campus in Bukuru, closer to the bustle of Jos, the state capital. On-campus hostel accommodation has been available since the early 1990s, alongside sports facilities and a library.
