Covenant University (CU) is a world-class, Christian mission private university located in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State. Founded in 2002 by the Living Faith Church Worldwide, it has rapidly grown to become the best private university in Nigeria and one of the highest-ranked institutions in Africa.
Life at Covenant University is highly disciplined and deeply rooted in Christian core values. Students (officially referred to as 'Kings and Queens') reside in fully equipped on-campus hostels. The university mandates strict dress codes, mandatory chapel attendance, and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for cultism or illicit substances.
💡 Pro Tip: Admission into Covenant is highly competitive. Scoring the 180 JAMB minimum is rarely enough; candidates should aim for 220+. The Post-UTME screening (CUSAS) goes beyond just academics—it heavily evaluates a candidate's character, spiritual standing, and willingness to abide by the university's strict rules.
Applicants must register for the current year's JAMB UTME. Accepted O'Level results include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCSE, or IGCSE. A post-UTME screening process (CUSAS) is mandatory and evaluates both academics and character alignment with the university's core values.
No JAMB required. Accepted exams include high school grades 9-11/12, GCSE, or IGCSE. Requires a valid passport, an application fee, and an interview via Microsoft Teams. School fees are paid in USD.
Covenant University does NOT accept A-Levels, OND, HND, or Direct Entry candidates under any circumstances. All students must start from 100 Level.
